About Dr. Dornisch

Dr. Anna Dornisch is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology, specializing in the treatment of prostate and other genitourinary cancers. She sees patients at our La Jolla Treatment Facility within the Moores Cancer Center. She completed her medical degree, a master's degree in clinical research, and residency at UC San Diego, where she served as Chief Resident.

She has led the development of multicenter randomized clinical trials in prostate cancer. She also co-founded an international working group dedicated to improving the management of side effects after prostate radiation therapy.

In addition to her research and clinical leadership, Dr. Dornisch is committed to medical education and mentors medical students and residents in clinical research.

Outside of work, Dr. Dornisch enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, whether she’s riding horses, running on the beach, hiking with her dog, or spending time with family and friends and enjoying the amazing food that San Diego has to offer.
