About Dr. Ogilvie

Dr. Gregory Ogilvie is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences, Division of Applied Sciences and a member of the Center for Precision Radiation Medicine (CPRM). He serves as the Director of the Angel Care Cancer Center at California Veterinary Specialists.

Board-certified in both the specialties of internal medicine and oncology, Dr. Ogilvie exemplifies a career that bridges academic leadership and compassionate veterinary oncology, with a strong emphasis on translational innovation and education.

At Angel Care Cancer Center in addition to his administrative responsibilities, he cares for patients, their families and mentors and educates interns, residents, veterinary students and has an active cancer research program. He has authored multiple veterinary oncology textbooks including Managing the Veterinary Cancer Patient, Feline Oncology: Compassionate Care for Cats with Cancer, Managing the Canine Cancer Patient: A Practical Guide to Compassionate Care, and, most recently, A Compassionate Guide to Cancer Care. He has written over 200 scientific articles and chapters and has been awarded two international patents, received over 10 million dollars in research grants and endowments as a principal or co-investigator. Dr. Ogilvie is the recipient of many awards including the Arnold O. Beckman Research Award, the Beecham Research Award, the Purina Small Animal Research Award, the Scheidy Memorial Research Award and the AVMA/American Kennel Club Award.
