About Dr. Martinez

Dr. Bibiana Martinez is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Applied Sciences and a member of the RMAS Center for Health Equity, Education and Research (CHEER). 

A public-health researcher, her work centers on cancer prevention and control in Latino communities, especially HPV vaccination, medical mistrust, and community-engaged/implementation science. Her publications include studies validating a medical mistrust scale among Latino parents, work on HPV vaccine hesitancy and implementation in safety-net settings, and contributions to cancer-control scholarship focused on Latino populations; she has also worked on environmental/heat-health topics.
