About Dr. Javier-DesLoges

Dr. Juan Javier-DesLoges is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Urology and Radiation Medicine & Applied Sciences and is a member of the Center for Health Equity, Education and Research (CHEER).

A practicing Urologist, Dr. Javier-DesLoges specializes in the surgical management of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, with a focus on minimally invasive treatment approaches. He is a member of the UCSD GU Oncology Disease Team and works closely with GU medical and radiation oncologists.

Dr. JavierDesLoges is a productive clinician-scientist whose research emphasizes health equity, clinical outcomes, and population-level patterns—advancing both the precision and accessibility of urologic cancer care. Recent publications include quantitative imaging biomarkers for prostate cancer detection, long-term health sequelae among testicular cancer survivors, and outcome analyses in renal cell carcinoma, bladder and prostate cancers.
