About Dr. Woel

Dr. Zoe Woel is an Assistant Professor and Medical Director of the Imperial Valley Radiation Oncology Center. She is an active member of several Department Disease Teams including the Breast Cancer and Palliative Care Teams. She is based at the El Centro Facility.

A dedicated and experienced clinical radiation oncologist, Dr. Woel worked in private practice prior to joining UC San Diego in New Jersey, New York and California. She has considerable expertise in a wide variety of radiotherapy approaches including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). She has been involved in multiple national cooperative trials evaluating novel radiation planning and delivery techniques. While in her residency, she completed a program in clinical effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health.
