About Dr. Padilla

Dr. Padilla is an Associate Professor and Associate Division Director of the Medical Physics Residency Program. She also serves as the Technology Service Chief of the GI Cancer Team.

Dr. Padilla is passionate about education. She has completed the Clinical Teaching Facilitator Training Program at Stanford University (2019) and has a Certificate in Medical Education from the Virginia Commonwealth University (2020). She is involved with numerous national committees through the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), including Medical Physics Residency Training and Promotion Subcommittee, the International Council, TG-302 on Surface Image Guided Radiotherapy, Vice-Chair of the Global Clinical Education and Training Committee, and Chair of the Working Group on Entrustable Professional Activities for Medical Physics Residents. Dr. Padilla has co-founded an organization called IAVE to connect medical physics students in Latin America and other regions with professionals and students in the USA. Her current research is focused on surface image guidance, medical physicist’s direct patient care, and inter-professional education.
