About Dr. Manger

Dr. Ryan Manger is an Associate Professor and Associate Division Director of Standards & Guidelines. He is also the Lead Physicist at our Encinitas Treatment Center and the Technology Service Chief of the GU Tumor Disease Team.

A dedicated and experienced clinical physicist, Dr. Manger oversees treatment planning, SBRT, SRS, and clinical operations at the Encinitas Facility. He is also actively involved in the UC San Diego Medical Physics Residency Program.

Dr. Manger serves on several national committees in the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the American Board of Radiology (ABR). He is the vice chair of the AAPM Radiation Dosimetry and Treatment Planning Subcommittee, a member of AAPM Task Group No. 36.B: Fetal Dose Considerations in Radiation Therapy, is an item writer for the ABR Online Logitudinal Assessment for Therapy Medical Physics, and is an ABR therapy physics Oral Examiner.
